| Note: EES began using a new billing method in November, 1999. Your bill is now a printed invoice with an envelope addressed to EES, instead of the postcard bill you got in the past. This page describes the bottom portion of the new invoice bill (the part you keep). It has a complete breakdown of your account information. (This example is primarily for residential customers. Commercial customers should contact the EES Billing Department for more detailed information on how their bill is calculated. The biggest difference is that residential accounts are NOT TAXED. If your bill has taxes added to it; you have a general power account. Please note that you may have more than one residential account, as long as it is classified as a single-family dwelling. By law, if you meter a garage, barn, well pump, workshop, or anything that is not a single-family dwelling; you must pay state taxes on it. So, if you receive two bills--one for your house and one for your workshop--the workshop is the one that has taxes added.) For a description of each area on your bill statement, just hover your mouse pointer on a section. A description flag will pop up on your screen. If you still have questions about certain parts of your bill, remember we have complete information on Budget Billing , How to Read Your Meter, and EES Rates by clicking on these links. |
