Q: What should I do to get my lights turned on? A: You must come to our office at Hatcher Lane. For Residential Service, you need to bring the following with you when you come. - Two (2) forms of identification. (Preferrably a Driver License and Social Security Card)

- $15.00 for the Service Connection Charge.
- The 911 address of your new residence.
That's it for anyone moving into an existing home, apartment, or mobile home. If you are moving into a new mobile home, and we must run a service to your pole, the Service Connection Charge is $25.00. Q: How long does it take to get the lights on after I've been to your office? A: We cannot promise 'same day' service. It depends on the workload for that day. But we will have them on by the end of the next business day. Q: What is the procedure for new Commercial Customers? A: It is very similar to the Residential procedure listed above; with a few exceptions. You must speak with our Finance Department while you are here. They will determine the amount of deposit required. It is usually the equivalent of the two highest bills from the preceeding 12 months, used by the previous tenant. The minimum deposit is $150.00. Commercial customers may also pay their deposit with bonds or a Letter of Credit from a financial institution. Q: What if I already have service with EES and want to move to a new location on your system? A: This is called a transfer of service. Your deposit will be transferred to your new account, and you must pay $15.00 for the Service Connect Charge. Also, you can call this in over the telephone.
